I said A, electrolytic reaction because B was worded as "stress corosion cracking" not "stress cracking corrosion"

yeh i picked A as well...but i'm a bit unsure, because cold rolling would create internal stresses...

For the two different types of multiplexing i did: a) Three way phone call
b) Bandwith through multiple computers
and yea... the fuckin pictorial picture ..... took up like the whole page, still pretty confident i got full or close to full marks for it.
I had trouble with the bicycle velocity ratio one though

Gah... I got like 125/150 or something stupid.

Some random answers off the top of my head

For the one with escalator with 115kg on it, answer was 414W I think.
I got 40 something mm for the extension of the cable in the last question.
Question about the current in the circuit with the lightbulb I got 2.5mA.

Any of these answers ring a bell with anyone else?

if you look up stress corrosion cracking, it pretty much explains that it has to be b, not a, too bad i chose a as well, electrolytic wouldnt work, since thats explained as something to do with an external voltage supply or something like that. 9/10 :(

Yeh most are right, but how did u get 2.5mA, I somehow got 20mA

Damit :( (@ the brass thing)

@ above, I used V=IR and plugged in whatever they told us. Though I may (likely) have used the wrong voltage value.

Only the middle one.
I got like 1008W for the escalator question, clearly fucked that up.
I got ~43mm for the extension
and I got 25mA, not 2.5mA. Maybe I screwed up the decimal. Got 0.025A --> 25mA, right?

Also, wtf. How did everyone find that test easy? That shit was insanely hard. Pretty much like the first Engineering paper I haven't fully completed (missed a few 1-2 markers because I didn't want to waste time).
Method of Sections question was just a no. Didn't even attempt that.
The drawings were absolutely screwed up, especially the bracket. Mine didn't work out properly as 1 side ended up higher than the other. The section was alright, but still didn't fully complete it. Might get like 3/5 for it.
Drawing the MICRO-STRUCTURE OF A LAMINATE?! WTF IS THAT?!
I'm just completely screwed up with this exam. I'll be lucky to get 60%.

i got 1008 W, its sq route of 20squared + 9squared to find displacement, then displacement times force, 1150N then divide by25 seconds to get power, i got 2.5mA and 43.23mm extension, hopefully thats right :S

Do u remember what the values were for the extension question?

For the escalator, Power = W/t
W= change in PE + KE
So in this case W = PE
Hence Power = mgh/25 (25 seconds was the time.)

Weight was 115, height was 9, use 10 for g.

P = 115x9x10/25
=414

As for the Amps one I'm really not sure...

I think R was 800 ohms, 2 was what I used for V so,
2=Ix800
I = 2/800
=2.5x10-3 or 0.0025
x10-3 is milli, so 2.5mA I think...

damn, 9/10 for me too did anyone get .1388888 for VR of the bike?
No, but I got something close to that for the power loss of the battery or something? Might not been a battery.. i dont remember lol.. power loss of something.... whatever it was used for xD mighta been a bike, don't remember.

8M length... 111 for the modulus ... 0.5mm^2 and 300N I THINK.
