Oh thats cool, thanks I'll look into this, great potential to discuss the feud with competing taxi's and privacy, etc.
Don't forget the legal side too

Tbh many markers are significantly older, they may not fully understand it...
Irrelevant, rather than regurgitating Qantas and billabong, give markers something different to read that is interesting. As long as it fits the criteria well, it will get good marks.

Tesla is quite interesting too and would link well with UBER and other car competitors especially VW for comparing reputations of companies (emissions scandal) vs electric

These would be cool, but I still feel you would be better making stuff up...

I got 20/20 in Section IV in trials just making them up, plus you can make sure they tailor to the question better.

By all means do a business like this, and then if you want to change it slightly in the exam just rename the business that way if the marker did happen to know correct info for the business they can't mark you wrong

Re: 2015 Business Studies Marathon

Well this will be the first time I've cut my hiatus short, but anyways

Swag, the fact that you got 99/100 in trials and attend a selective school means that you should be aiming for nothing less than a state ranking (I believe in you :D ), and yeah 95 - 97 raw sounds about right but it varies from year to year based on the difficulty of the paper

+ Astro I could email you the Wotif case study if you're interested?

Here are some others: http://www.hscfocus.com/hsie/business-studies/business-studies-case-studies/

Question:

Michelle opens a coffee shop. She always uses the oldest milk first before opening the new milk.

Which of the following inventory management strategies is Michelle using?

(a) FIFO

(b) LIFO

(c) JIT

(d) Monitoring

Provide a one sentence explanation so that I know you're not guessing :p

Re: 2015 Business Studies Marathon

(A) FIFO . This inventory management strategy is used for perishable products. I.e. The earlier purchase will be used first

Haha love the fact that everyone assumes I go to a selective school... my school is around 180 lol, nonetheless very proud of it

Cheers for the encouragement! I've got 6 whole days off before business, so there is no exception for me not smashing it... SR is gonna be all about the extended responses I think, but I've got a couple tricks up my sleeve

And Crisium, all the best as well - I think you're doing your HSC this year aren't you?
