Has anyone had a biology prac test for year 12 and if you have what was in it.

Dissection of brain. It was for communication and i think I did ok in it.

Cool. What exactly is involved in a dissection?

Well, we just had to cut the sheep's brain with a scalpel which was kinda cool...then we had little label pins and had to point out whats what (cerebrum, medulla oblongata etc)... my nose was blocked on the day so I don't know if brains smell or not lol.

That sounds cool, I think my class is doing that soon. All I've done so far is the dissection of a bull's eye

I dissected a sheep's eye for a prac before...the vitreous humor was everywhere!

yeah we disected a buls eye..

our teacher showe dus how to do it so we wouldn't get the humour alover the place though...
i had my prac exam and i topped it with 93%..but we didnt disect in it..just did some celery experiments and stuff

Yeah, once you pierce the really tough sclera, this black goo starts coming out! I think the prac was looking at the lense to test accomodation.

we used the light box and the lenses, they asked Q on myopia and hyperopia and how to correct it with another lens

I wasn't expecting that, I thought it was like jelly similar to the aqueous. The lens I had was slightly inflated (for some reason) and I tried to remove it and it popped.
