hi, we had to do a case study in class for a industrial dispute!

is taht even in teh syllabus? like requiring you to do one?

do i need to learn it?

Yeah learn it - we did patricks waterfront dispute it was easy what are you doing?

omg why is this the first i hear of that?
a case study....for a dsipute...
all we did was qantas and that was in the last week of school....im stuffed

why? when does it come into play?

will the question explizitly say the case study?

or when answering an industrial dispute Q then feed in some facts!

within Qantas there is a section on industrial disputation.. it's definately in there about a wage increase and workers walking off the job holding stop work meetings, taking out covert and overt action etc...
In all extended responses it's a MUST to include case study material...there is no option unless you severly what to reduce your marks significantly.
There are heaps of disputes around and it isn't hard to find 1. Industrial disputes come under the topic of Employment Relations..

We did the Waterfront dispute for Patrick Stevedore.
Industrial Dispute information can be found under Employment Relations...I think! I only manage to remember that cos they used Pickets, Lockouts and Absenteeism as a few ways to get themselves noticed by the unions and media.

Try your best to know about Industrial Dispute, if not the case study itself, it may just happen to be in the exam.

u only need 2 know it if deres a qstn in d last bit bout E.R but d other 1 will definately b total global so just choose dat... much easier
