oh raaah we go back a week earlyReturn of face-to-face learning brought forward and is as followed:
Students in kindergarten, Years 1 and 12 will now return on October 18
Years 2, 6 and 11 will return on October 25, and remaining grades will return to the classroom on November 1.
Technically the 2022 cohorts aren't classified as year 12s till 4? week (can't remember the exact no of weeks) in Term 4 by the Government.I just love how they keep saying year 12s lmao, they do be confusing the 2021/22 cohort on purpose. To this day i still don't know who they are talking abt when they say year 12.

HSC students whose learning was significantly compromised for six weeks of term (30 school days) or more because of COVID-19 restrictions, meaning:
Group applications can only be made by schools in the following LGAs of concern:
- they had no or very limited access to the internet or learning materials; or
- they lost access to essential specialised educational support; or
- the student’s home arrangements significantly compromised their participation in and ability to undertake remote learning and complete course-work.
Individual applications
- Bayside
- Burwood
- Strathfield
- Penrith
- Campbelltown
- Georges River
- Parramatta
- Blacktown
- Cumberland
- Canterbury/Bankstown
- Fairfield
- Liverpool
If the application is upheld, the student will receive their moderated assessment mark, in place of their exam mark, unless their earned exam mark is higher.
Group applications
If the application is successful, students in a group application will receive a calculated exam mark, unless the earned exam mark is higher.
As part of the application process, a Special Consideration panel will interview the principal to assess the reasons for making the group application. The panel will also review the group application to ensure it focuses on those whose learning has been significantly compromised by COVID-19 restrictions.
- If the group application is for only some of the students’ exams, NESA will use student and cohort performance in unaffected exams to calculate marks.
- If the group application is for most or all the students’ exams, NESA will use Year 11 grades, school assessment marks of the current cohort and past cohorts’ performance to calculate exam marks.
