3 hours will feel like an hour if you're well prepared.

More so, if your exam consists only or primarily of extended responses.

cafs & legal both have 3 extended responses.
& in cafs they have 3 parts so our teacher told us we need around: half a page on part a, 1-1.5 on part b & then 4-5 on part c.
so thats around 6-7 pages for EACH extended response.
& there is 3 of them.

oh i forgot to add: thats after multiple choice & short answers!

I am assuming that your teacher is referring to exam booklet pages and not standard A4 pages.

I advise my kids that they should be aiming for 8 exam booklet pages for each extended response.

From my years of marking at least 50% of responses will get close to or exceed 8 exam booklet pages with no problems.


Somewhere on these fora there is a scanned copy of an exam booklet page which would probably allay your fears about quantity a bit.

Yeah, the line spacing is huge. 8 pages is like, 1000 words in the HSC.
