total mass = 6m (of the system) which was the denominator, and there was a factor of 2 you could remove from both top and bottom
since when did you learn about pulley's in 4unit? Was it atwood machine? Did u actually need to know physics?

Its a 3u enrichment question (vector q), was surprised it appeared in 4u. Anyway you find vector OT in two different ways:
OT = lambda OS as T lies on OS
OT = OP + mu PR as T lies on PR
Equate the two, and equate coefficients of vectors r and p, and you should get lambda = mu = 2/3

I think pulleys are in the course (in 3U thought), and they're occasionally in other trials, although yr 11 phys knowledge did certainly help.

For the person who wanted the full paper, sorry to disappoint but I don't have the full paper yet, I'll try to post it here when i get my hands on it or unless another party get's it first.
