Hey, preparing for the German Continuers exam i realised i don't know it the preliminary contents can be asked in the HSC. i trawled throught the syllabus but couldn't find anything concrete except that they explore similar issues and topics....

anyone know if the continuers HSC can include preliminary content?:(

Well preliminary is going to provide a basis for your HSC knowledge anyway.

But they don't specifically ask for prelim topics.
So as long as you have enough background, you'll be sweet just studying year12 stuff =D

it just means that they expect you to know prelim content like conjugating verbs, tenses etc that form the basis of all the HSC course

It's spelt as you say it.

Also -
  • "ei" & "ie" you say the second letter in the pair. ie "frei" sounds like "fry", "Wien" sounds like "veen".
  • the "sh" sound is always spelt "sch".
  • Nouns are always capitalised.
Good luck.
And yes, HSC topics only BUT any lanuague learning builds on itself so all the vocab and techniques you would need to know from Prelim in order to complete HSC.
