Hey!

There are many websites that attempt to break down the complexities of HSC subject scalings, however, I found Eddie Woo's explanation to be the most understandable. Watch the 3 part series here.

Just to be sure, there are two different things you could be talking about:
1. Moderation, done by NESA on your school marks to calculate HSC marks
2. Scaling, done by UAC on your HSC marks to calculate your ATAR
They are different things, with different processes...
