Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (cbf reading the other posts in this thread) but there's a Pol button on most calculators. If you need to check the modulus and argument of something, e.g. 6+7i, enter in your calculator: Pol(6,7) and it will show the modulus and argument.

Very useful if you're not confident with complex numbers yet

I didn't really know that I could use that ... Thanks. It might save me a little time perhaps. It's handy to have as a backup I guess.

That Pol thing is pretty awsome IMO, should save a bit of time.

If faced with sinx + icosx, just factor out "i" ---> i(cosx - isinx)

I had a question with this before... it took me too long to get to that conclusion. I will be storing that advice away tightly.

i think you should get a new calculator LOL... also general tip: remember the general types of loci! comes in handy

It's just above log10 for mine. .

Very old calculator though
