Should i change my DP?
97.25 ATAR- Economics & Business Studies Tuition- Parramatta+ South West
Hey there,
I'm Daniel, as many of you might know, and I have ONE spot available within my current tuition schedule.
I graduated from Good Samaritan Catholic College in 2013 receiving an ATAR of 97.25 and currently completing my Bachelor of Commerce/Laws at UNSW.
I'm offering tuition and hsc mentoring to both year 11 & 12 students.
What is my tutoring structure?
I personally strongly believe in a core philosophy of exam technique - it is by far the MOST important aspect of the HSC, and the very reason why the top students are able to outdo everyone else. This is especially true of Economics and Maths - they are two subjects where understanding lies at the very core of doing well in them, yet understanding is not enough - students need to be able to put pen to paper and not only apply their knowledge, but apply it effectively. Due to this reason, my lessons will consist of teaching you HOW to answer the questions, not simply regurgitating content that you can learn individually. My services are significant value add and will require you to be prepared for every lesson.
What subjects do i tutor?
- Economics- 93
- Business Studies- 95
I have had various enquiries about tutoring for my other subjects. Whilst my marks may be adequate to tutor these subjects, i ONLY offer tuition in Economics and Business Studies because these are the subjects i am truly passionate about. I continue to expand my understanding of the business world through my university studies and i try to apply this through my lessons. Furthermore, my up-to-date knowledge of the current business climate will ensure you're well prepared for your Economics and Business Studies exams !
How much will it cost?
Price:
My hourly rate varies depending on the lesson length and location.
2 hr lesson:
1 Student: $55
2 students or more :$50 per student
1 1/2 hr lesson:
1 Student: $50
2 students or more : $40 per student
1 hr lesson:
1 Student: $40
2 Students or more : $35 per student
Where will you tutor?
- Liverpool library
- Other libraries in the South West (email to discuss more)
- Sydney CBD- e.g UTS, State library (Weekdays)
Why me?
First of all - I specialise in mentoring high achieving students aiming to develop their exam technique, and ultimately ace the externals. I've had the privledge of tutoring students from a variety of elite selective and private schools across Greater Sydney aiming for the top 1% in the HSC, so be assured i'm more than capable for someone like you ! The HSC is ultimately a mind game, you must have a strategic plan put in place in order to achieve in the top percentile. What differentiates me from other tutors is that my approach is focused on developing this plan and implementing it. Ultimately, i am here to develop your hsc skills, not to provide you with readily available content.
I provide "secondary" tuition to all my students. That is, I monitor their progress in all their other subjects in order to ensure that they are on track to achieve their ATAR goal. This is an integral aspect of my tuition which ensures that students are exactly where they want to be. I provide ATAR estimates to all my students and general hsc tips for specific periods during the year. I've been through the HSC and made many mistakes, learn off my mistakes instead of making your own.
Resources. I accumulated an enormous pool of resources during my HSC journey, which I pass on to REGULAR students, I will not be providing these resources to students whom only undertake a few lessons. It is among the largest HSC resource collections in existence and consists of thousands of past papers, exemplar responses, state ranking notes. As a student you will get access to ALL these resources for ALL your subjects, not just the subject i tutor you for.
