hey everyone,
i found these questions in an old trial paper and i'm not sure how to answer them:

1. Two alternative methods of immunisation against measles involve injecting:
(i) antigens of the pathogen
(ii) vaccine containing antibodies separated from human blood serum

Assess the effectiveness of each method of immunisation. (4 marks)

2. Evaluate the social impact of scientific knowledge about the human immune response. (5 marks)

any help on these will be greatly appreciated :)

injecting antigens of the pathogen stimulates the body's immune response this is a more long term effort as the body's b-cells then are able to readily re-create the antibodies needed if the body should become infected with measles. Through injecting the body with antibodies to the measles disease, is more shorterm as they won't stay in the bloodstream and cannot be readily produced as the antibody "code" is not in the memory cells. Therefore whilst both can fight the measles disease, the injection of antigens is more effective.

What lozabella said was right. However, try to use more biological terms.
i) is active immunisation.
ii) is passive immunisation.
