i love the colour and the line work... you should do really well!
holy crap D: - well i hope all your hard hard work was worth it coz i watch it and love the endingSH33P said:months... it was all filmed in order... everything from the dream bit was done on the weekend before it was due (no sleep)
including set and puppet construction it would be over 1000+ hours to do... for 4-5 months my life was all about going to bed at 3am every morning and editing/shooting for hours (5-6+) each day
it was worth it at the end (emphasis on "the end")...
first time with stop motion but long time film editor...

i cant imagine how precise and long each shot took but turned out awesome
why'd u pick stop motion anyways? :3
SH33P said:well i dont have any major talent in any of the art fields but film... but doing a plain film was 2 basic (i thought)
so i looked around and decided to pick computer animation then swapped to stop motion... i liked the overall effect of an animation i seen called "the periwig maker" (sensational!) so i used that to build mine as a basis of my thoughts and ideas... the markers are always easily impressed by stop motion videos... like the stuff that have gotten into artexpress in previous years wasnt the best stuff i had ever seen (although they were good for the amount of time they put into it.) so to some degree ive tried to reset the marking bar for stop motion in trying to produce something "pro" from a first time animator... most of the techniques i used in the film are stuff that im pretty confident that other students have never used in their animations... (there was a lot to it)
im glad u like it.... i like the ending 2, it works well if u have some art knowledge cause theres a lot of links between the work and the animation
haha lol thanks... I don’t find the film disturbing though... I don’t think it has the same atmosphere created when actually viewing the work, but i guess it has a dark side to it... i got a comment from a friend who said that she couldn’t watch it cause it was 2 scary HAHAHAa.w.e.s.o.m.e-o said:
yeah, was gonna say the markers are probably gonna enjoy your work because imo, it’s a rare medium to work with.
well, I haven’t seen any hsc student stop motion art works but id say you have defiantly set some form of a really high bar xD
don’t know much bout film techniques (besides the basics) but im sure they’d recognise and acknowledge it, nicely done ^_~
mhm mhm, I picked up on the links
Edvard munch’s artworks disturb me though. I like them but when I look at them I feel all depressed :s, suppose because he was to some extent. still an amazing artist though :3
anyways, I see your work making it in Artexpress. Good luck

lol did you mount the tripod to the set? i used heaps of tape and 5 kilo weights to keep my tripod down.... it was a super cheap one 2 ... the people at clive anthonys dont know how to "chuck descent things in" when you spend hundreds of dollarsdanniface. said:Well I just commented your video so I won't repeat myself.
But I did a clay animation. It's good to see someone else who did stop motion too : D
Concept? I had no 'deep' or 'personal' meaning to mine, but in my VAPD I just crapped on about human emotions and such. It was just a fun idea and the song had an easy enough story line to follow. Some bits are really dodgy but ohhhhh wellz what can you do.

Bahhh ignore the shakiness, I had a craptastic tripod.
