wow there’s some awesome works there.... i like that French inspired one... its really different!

After my exam today i heard that one of the kids at my school got into artexpress.... that was how it was phrased (he didnt say nominated.... he said got in!) ... by the way the work was a series of super realistic pastel portraits of his family... they really were fantastic!

does anyone else know of other ppl who have got in yet? usually u find out in mid november... i know the films are one of the last to find out cause they watch them all first...

i reckon artexpress 09 is going to have a lot of talent in it!

Waaaah this is amazingg!! what are you doing next year?
Thank you so much :) Kind of feeling disheartened about my work, oh well.

I'm hoping to go to Macquarie and do a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Cultural Studies; draw, read & write on the side; work and other creative/nature inspired things. How about you? You should definitely do something with your art :)

This is my major artwork, the theme is water and the portraits are drawings done with pen and sepia graphite powder.. I photoreleased the map detail in the background, took forever

lol did you mount the tripod to the set? i used heaps of tape and 5 kilo weights to keep my tripod down.... it was a super cheap one 2 ... the people at clive anthonys dont know how to "chuck descent things in" when you spend hundreds of dollars

Nah I didn't do anything like that, mainly because I needed to move my tripod all around the set and couldn't be bothered taping it down lol.
It was more so the problem of when I took each picture, where the camera was clipped into the tripod, it would move <_<

Weights would have been a good idea though, and taping it to the set. I'll try that for my next movie :)

my concept was how emotions evolve.. sorry bout the crappy picture quality, the first pic was taken with my phone
I freaking love this.

This thread is great, I love seeing people's works. They're all so fantastic and different to what people in my school did.

This is my artwork. I did collection of works (decided in the last week - i did the paintings in a week! almost killed me)

Bit rushed but arghh oh well.

The theme is circus (obviously) haha i decided on it as it was purely fun. If you cant see in the pic theres lights that warp and weave through out the work.

Enjoy!
