Someone should e-mail the actual Board of Studies, because besides the actual link (with cjb.net), the pop-up and the server the pages (angelfire) are on, it looks half-authentic.

Edit: I entered a few numbers, and it just (presumably) sends the numbers somewhere and takes you to a page which doesn't exist.

LoL, it looks like that guys gonna steal a lot of school id's and passwords- but it is bodgy in its construction- but it will fool the majority. :D

btw, one thing i noticed, is that it says that its secured connection- but the lock doesn't appear on the bottom of the internet explorer....what a prank!

There is a new website http://boardofstudies.cjb.net on the internet created to steal PINs for your Schools Online website https://bosho.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/links/schoolsonline.html

These websites look almost identical. Could you please do something about this because some people have already had their PINs stolen.

Thank you.

Derek Buchanan,

Taylors College, Sydney.

thanks for that. i called uac and bos and to be honest they didn't really care.

after calling 4 numbers i was told i couldn't change password over phone and even if i faxed id etc would take up to a week.

This should really be BOS's fault as well it's a partial fault for them, major organisations or companies or business's generall register their domains under numerous dns's this is to prevent any other people registering it and cuasing confusion, like microsoft themselves go through alot of legal issues with computer finatics when they have domains like www.microsoft.cjb.net, most of the populr dns's are registered and redirected to their main site to stop any form of confusion.

That's because they use a .com domain

You can always deferentiate official institutions by the .nsw.edu.au

btw Static, how did you discover the fake site?

good on you for your e mail!

Static said he found the site because boredofstudies, this site, also used cjb. net, and s/he accidently typed boArdofstudies

and those 2 sites look so similar! id on't know why someone would bother.

Static - how did you know your school user ID and pin? or did you just type your own?
