Hi guys :)
How is hubris represented in Frankenstein? Like what evidence would I use from the novel to effectively highlight the hubristic nature of man within Victor?
Any help is good help!
Thanks :)

A starting point might be Victor's belief he can usurp the role of God. eg. part where he picks out parts at the graveyard

- the fact he's a "Byronic Hero" of a Romantic novel- these characters (this case Victor) are self centered, less virtuous than conventional heros, have wahaaay to much pride, are obsessive, you get this gist. (This was in my notes awkward if i'm wrong.) (u can relate Shelleys use of the Romantic/ Byronic hero to her context)
- as above, the fact that he's playing god
- also consider the monsters attitudes towards him- like when he's asking for help, and Victor denies it- could get good quotes between them two.
