TBH I don't do Science but from my year 10 science knowledge a hypothesis is an estimate so yes beucase you don't actually know but you believe. This way you can clearly state the final result in your conlcusion.

i thought it was as simple as "the black can will be the hottest" not like "the black can will be the hottest because black absorbs sunlight ", since the point of the experiment is to determine why, if that makes sense
