Hypothetical speaking lets say you get 80% in your class overall yearly result and you come second, but then the 'other guy' in your class gets 90% and comes first then you both do the hsc you get 100%(I wish) and the other guy gets 90% whats happens to you and the other guy?????
What happens to your internal marks as well as the other guy?

External: you- 100%, other- 90%

Hypothetically the above are correct

however, think about this ...
Student A gets 93% raw (rank 2) and student B gets 95% raw (rank 1) internally,
Externallly student A gets 98 (rank 1) and student B gets 80 (rank 2)

Student A's external mark will be 98 but his internal mark will be around 93ish (NOT 80) to reflect the minor difference he and student B scored internally
Whereas student B's external mark will be 80 and his internal mark will be 98

You- 99 HSC mark, him- 99 HSC mark.

Just thinking, you should stop worrying about this. It's nothing you can change anyway.

not exactly. if you know you can significantly improve your marks by coming 1st internally or externally your motiviation will skyrocket

even though motiviation is a state of mind, the degree in which you have motivation will be the degree in which you perform in your HSC
