hey guys,

hope you're all confident in your exams and marks and what not. I need your help with a community and family studies IRP.

If as many of you could PLEASE! just reply to this and tell me if you had a job during the HSC, changed your availability for the HSC, did get a job because of the HSC. It would be like really helpful guys!

Hope you can help me... good luck to everyone still with exams to go!

I kept my job this year.
Until about march i did all day saturday and one weeknight. I then changed my availability to saturdays only. However in about June, I had driving lessons on sat mornings, so since then I've been doing only 3 hours on either sat or sunday, usually either 2.30-5.30 or 3-6.
Anything else you need, just PM me.

i worked throughout it, it was handy to have a job as it distracted me from the stress as well as giving me money to socialise more and buy a car. I had less work over the trial and external exam period. I had an anxiety attack at work on the weekend before paper 2 because i was stressing, but other than that i thought working and the hsc went worked well together

I worked all through the HSC..
25-30 hours a week for first term, after that, about 15 hours. (11 hr shift - 1 hr meal break on sundays, 5 hours on a friday night)

I worked 3-4 days a week (usually 3 days after school, and one day of the weekend) for the first two terms of the hsc. After that I changed my availability to sundays only, working 6 hr shifts. I had a couple of weeks off before, and during the trials and hsc exams.

Overall it worked out pretty good, working didn't interrupt school work at all and I managed to keep my job. :)
