I suck in the exam situation..any tips? (1 Viewer)

i REALLY suck in the english exams, the half yearly i didnt even pass (but the whole year did really bad as well, i failed but i still got one of the better marks)

but then in the assessments, i have got good marks everytime
speech 15/15 (i think there was about 3-4 people get 15)
reading 10/15 (this was still one of the top marks)
listening 15/15 (i was the only person in the year to get full marks)
viewing/representing 13/15 (there was only 2 people above me)

so, yeah, does anyone have any tips for the exams?

well, i just keep writing practice essays, many different questions until it becomes second nature (not perfected for all text yet ). then when the exam comes, the essay just flows out of my head.. hope this helps!

BTW, what part of the exam are you doing really bad in?

just the whole thing. but it was the essays that i fell down in in the half yearly. i think it was also a bit of lack of preparation, coz i focused all most entirely on chem and left english (my "safe" subject) to last, so i didnt have as much study time for it. and i kinda ran outta time. but so did everybody else. but, yeah, apart from that my rank is excellent, i think i would be within the top couple, its just this stupid exam *grrr*.
so, yeah, im def. gunna write some practice essays, thanks!

spend only 40 mins on each! and make sure u know ur stuff well

always do the creative writing section last, its easy to make some thing up, plus chances are u know the other questions more thoroughly e.g. the essay questions
