regard to the main Q
g-term is a vector quantity measuring the g-force in a gravitation field. BUT becoz in our gravitation field the onli (if air resistance is neglected) force is the acceleration due to gravity
hence we mostly recognise g=Ag (acc. due to gravity)
later u will learn g-force as =apparantly weight/true weight
where all forces (so not juz acc. due to gravity) will be taken into consideration when caculating the net force in a lift off
so g-force is used mainly (as every1 has pt out.XD) to help work out a spacecraft's escape velocity
... xD.. (hope i am rite)
That seems logical.... So on earth when no other forces are acting on us,
g = apparent weight / true weight
= 9.8N/1kg
= 9.8m/s²
= 1g
Or on a planet with acceleration due to gravity is twice earth, or a rocket launch accelerating upwards at twice acceleration due to gravity,
g = apparent weight / true weight
= 19.6N / 1k
= 19.6m/s²
= 2g.
