Just curious, is it possible to be on the "all-rounders" list if you do your 10 units over 2 years (ie pathways)? Assuming you get band 6's of course...

*edit* just asked someone then i know who got first in a subject last year, $2000 was received.
What? You get a certificate and photo. Not even a book voucher.
Definitely not $2000, trust me.

Although I've heard the top 200 students in australia get $2000. Maybe thats what they were talking about. (Ends up about 70 students from the HSC).

no, the person who gets first in the state, in a subject receives $2000, there aren’t that many people who get first in the state believe it or not.
No, no they don't. If that was true, I would have $2000.
My course had 8000 people, and I also know someone who topped a course of candidature 1500, so its not that we did a non-board approved or very small course either.
Neither of us got any money, and money was never mentioned at the ceremony...

You get a certificate, a photo and a name tag.

Whoever told you that was having you on.

The people who get money are those who win the Australian Students Prize (ASP).

You need something like 93+ in at least 10 units.

Search the forums for more details.
