Is it necessary to get a doctor's certificate on the day of the exam?? I just had my French extension HSC exam yesterday, but I did not get the doctor's cert yesterday...

I am assuming that you're getting an illness and misadventure form because you didn't perform to your potential due to an illness, and not because you didn't show up to your exam, right?
I don't think you need a doctor's certificate that was issued on that day (that isn't what is required at my school). However, it would most worthwhile to get it today, or tomorrow, to ensure that that you are ill now.
I honestly don't think it'll be a problem if the doctor's certificate is issued the day after :)

If I am reading you right this was an actual HSC exam right?

First off - did you tell the examiner/superviser that you were ill? If not you have a small problem to start with as they have to record on the forms how you were during the actual exam.

Next - have you already told your principal? If not do so first thing in the morning as they also have to add their notes to their forms.

If you haven't already been to the doctor you will need to do so ASAP - probably with the form from school so that the doctor can fill in all the details - which is more than just 'unfit for school'.

I think for language oral exams, you have to tell the examiner that you are applying for Illness/Misadventure, so that they can do a report or sth like that...

thanks for the replies. For me, it was pretty much like a stress/panic attack...does this still count for illness, and if so, how to get documentation??
