I went unaccompanied, but i was pretty surprised that a lot of parents showed up. Maybe 1/2 of the ppl brought parents or some other family member.

I guess if ur mum has been involved with the exchange process so far u could bring her along. My parents didnt even kno i was goin exchange till pretty late lol

ooooh acstyle did you go on exchange too?! how do u know tell me more about the reception!

Im going to Japan 1st semester nxt yr, but because applications for US, Canada and Japan were due a mth earlier than the rest of the world we already went thru this stuff abt a mth ago.

Well lets see, the reception went for abt an hr. Like i said before they announce in front of everyone where each person will be going, u go up and receive ur application pack. Then they go thru the whole process, its very general at this stage. U'll have another info session 2wks after this one. Theres also light refreshments provided.
