hey guys,

two quick questions:

1) is the immigrant chronicle meant to be read as seperate sections and analyse them or is it meant to be read as a whole?


2) also can someone please tell me some related texts that can be used to support it? any advice would be greatly appreciated

Immigrant Chronicle is a whole book of poems, but you will only be studying 7.

Then from the seven, you analyse at least 2 poems in the extended response with at least 3 related texts (you may only end up using 2, but prepare 3 in case the other two cant be used to synthesise your essay in the assessment).

I am also doing Immigrant Chronicle, and one really good related text is 'The Home Song Stories'. The other ones, you can find it yourself

Our teacher showed us a good visual text 'The Arrival' by Shaun Tan

I suggest you get the Excel Area of Study 'Immigrant Chronicle' guide.

Its got two related texts in it, one of which is exactly 'The Arrival'

Also you get deep, detailed analysis of both texts mentioned above in this study guide.

I got this book recently and found it very useful and easy to read

just get 2-3 texts to study and fuck the rest despite what ur teacher tells u

The BoS is starting to ask for only one related text but do two anyway.

yeh, do 2 related texts. From immigrant chronicle, study all 7 poems but select the 2 that you like the most.

as for other related texts, I did Freedom Writers movie and Short Story Big World by Tim Winton
