Alan does so too. Not enjoy the sadness, but he feels it is sometimes vital. he doesnt see it as a sensation, that is better than nothing. But when he is sad, which unfortunatly, is most of the time, he is able to make decisions he can later refute and understand a bit more of what he thought was. Its confusing, Alan cant word much of what he thinks and feels.

Marcus sees sadness as a necessary part of emotional self-transformation. Its the catharthis; its the purification through water.

Lynn curtseys deeply to Marcus' proufound-ness. She is always impressed by both his way with words and his mastery of the english language - in fact, pretty much anything he writes. Lynn would not be suprised if Marcus could compose Chinese calligraphy - AND write it himself using traditional chinese calligraphy letters!

Lynn apologises if she does not praise Marcus enough, but his brilliant aura is just so fantastic and beautiful and spectacular that once one gets used to it, one must constantly remind ones' self that it is there, or forever wander the world in a heightened level of wonderment without realising its source.

It is, in short, "The Marcus".

Marcus hopes everyone realises that he was kidding. Marcus is much better at speaking Chinese than writing it. Marcus' Chinese characters look like something that came out of a sewer.

Lynn is still impressed that Marcus can speak Mandarin full stop. She spoke mandarin fluently (in fact, it was the only thing she spoke) till about the age of 4 or 5.

In present day, Lynn cannot speak a word of Mandarin, can understand only very, very few words, has no idea where to even begin writing it... but can speak and understand a little french

Marcus will not dignify Alan's suggestion that he looks like something that came out of a sewer, and would like to say that he thought it more likely that Lynn was jokingly attacking Marcus' jokingly meant egotism. Thus, Lynn is not a sycophant, just a really nice person.
