lol do u dudes n dudettes actually have any relevant information about short story conventions or ideas as such. Or maybe I should start a thread. *Acts on instinct at this very moment*

Justin states that he and the other short story folk are very helpful in threads that aren't this one. However, if Nick asks for help, advice will be given.

Lynn is also beginning to nod off. She will stay up as long as she can to keep Susan and Alan company.

Which wont be very long, as Alan has already re-dialled and is not so enthused to spend another 4 hours on net. He bids all farewell and goodnight.

Lynn need not stay up merely to keep Susan and Alan company. In fact, Susan shall be heading off now. Susan was out until 4:30 the night of the formal, had 4 hours sleep the next day and was woken up at 8:45 this morning. So Susan could do with some sleep.

Susan kisses Lynn and Alan goodnight. "Sleep Well!"

Ahhh well, Alan is not ashamed of who he is.

Lynn is not either, and has a gay friend that has an ENTIRE WALL dedicated to cut-out pictures of hot male models. Oddly, is it the wall directly opposite the bed.

Lynn, unfortunately, has no such pictures, except for an old "Ballet Bears" hanging directly above her head. She used to have some watercolour paintings that she painted on her wall though. She cannot quite remember where they went. Lynn would like to paint again, and perhaps even return to pottery.

Susan believes Alan misunderstood. Susan is not disturbed with Alan and his sexuality. Susan is disturbed that Alan is downloading pornography.

Susan would be just as disturbed, perhaps more so, if she heard that say, Lynn was downloading pornography.

Marcus appears to have come online too late and missed all his friends on Important: Please Read. Marcus is quite sad. .

On a brighter note, Marcus saw Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason this evening

Justin says that he will as soon as he gets some money. He supposes he should get a job first, though.

Marcus supposes that a reliable source of personal income is be good; it allows one to quit bludging off their parents, and thus lessens a parents blackmailing power.

Justin feels guilty asking for money, for the most part, although he does earn it by doing extra stuff around the house. In any case, he doesn't like bothering other people for cash.

His mother is photocopying his resume for him today, so he can put in more applications.

A job would also be helpful in letting Justin be a lot less bored.

Marcus also doesn't like asking people for cash, and understands where Justin is coming from. Luckily, Marcus gets paid by Centrelink and won't have to work for a while, "hehe". Marcus has so many things he wants to do, that rather than solving boredom, work would more likely impede his motivation. But he can still sympathise with Justin's desire to be doing something on a regular basis; and to feel self-supported.

Marcus wonders if Justin has a resume or a Curriculum Vitae, aka CV?

Justin does have a resume and, as stated above, his mother is making several photocopies of it today so he can apply for work at a few more places. Justin wishes someone would just call him up and say "Can you come in for an interview?"

Justin wonders why Marcus gets paid by Centrelink.

Justin states that Marcus must give reputation to 20 people before he can give it to the same person. He can also only rep 10 people per day.

Justin once worked and had a regular income. But now he doesn't because his mum wanted him to quit for the HSC years. A lot of good that did. Justin did about the same amount of study anyway.
