Yup! But Evan doesn't have many issues with intelligent people unless they're narcissistic(which 90% of the Selective school students are) so he doesn't have an issue with Marcus as he is not intellectually vain. Evan also states that he is very mature and responsible in ways most people aren't (not that it shows) so this helps him deal with any esteem issues (not to mention Evan isn't exactly stupid)

But Marcus believes that this idea should enable us to respect the simple fact that we are.

But seriously Evan does agree with you on most points but he states that the adage "there is always.......out there" is not really true and is just a way a shutting up a dissatisfied person. You can strive to attain self and skill beyond comparison with others without limit or you might not for we are a potentiallity
Or to put it more bluntly feel free to step out of your life and into your possibility

Marcus sometimes finds (much to his amusement) that he us arguing with someone who believes exactly the same thing as him, but expresses it differently. Marcus hopes that Katie has not been scared away!

Lynn apologises for being cranky and not given Evan wisdom points, but as she is sure Marcus has already guessed, these particular alterations are.... difficult (enter a rare moment where Lynn wants to swear her head off in frustration), and no-one in her household is feeling sympathetic in the least. She's obviously not going to finish this top tonight - even though under a heck of a lot of pressure to - so she decided to continue unpicking and come online so that today is not entirely an...interesting... day.
