Induction help pls (1 Viewer)

bare with me, its my first time attempting induction...I'm having problem with q2 .

1. Prove 3+10+17+...+(7n-4)=n/2(7n-1) for all n is equal or above 1.

I could do that question, since the difference was 7, and i could do step 2. Assume.

Though in this other question,

2. 5+11+19+...+(8n-3) = n(4n+1) for all n is equal or above 1.

I don't understand how to do step 2, as i took away the difference from 8n-3?

Sorry if this sounds confusing, but im also confused.. :/

question 2, the first three terms shown were wrong. was this question from a book? trash it into a bin.
5+13+21+dots+(8n-3)=n(4n+1)
