Another one I've been having problems with;

Prove that the inequality x^2 - 2px + q > 0 if and only if q > p.

think you mean q>p^2 else p=0.5 q = 0.3 works.

Yeah I couldn't get it out after that, otherwise it'd be a really easy question.

assuming it's q>p^2

we have
Prove that the inequality x^2 - 2px + q > 0 if and only if q > p^2.
sub in p^2 as q

x^2-2px+p^2 >0
(x-p)^2 > 0

which is true.
