Year 1
ACCT1501 Accounting & Financial Mgt 1A (6 UOC)
ACCT1511 Accounting & Financial Mgt 1B (6 UOC)
COMP1911 Computing 1 (6 UOC)
COMP1921 Data Structures and Algorithms (6 UOC)
INFS1602 Info Systems in Business (6 UOC)
INFS1603 Business Data Management (6 UOC)
And ONE of:
MATH1131 Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)
MATH1141 Higher Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)
And ONE of:
MATH1231 Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)
MATH1241 Higher Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)
From Bcom
http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2007/3502.html
36 units of common Level 1 core courses as follows:
ACCT1501 - Accounting & Financial Mgt 1A
ACCT1511 - Accounting & Financial Mgt 1B
ECON1101 - Microeconomics 1
ECON1102 - Macroeconomics 1
ECON1202 - Quantitative Methods A#
ECON1203 - Quantitative Methods B#
So if you decide to transfer after first year you will have to do Micro/Macro and QMA/B in 2nd year.
The other units you studied earlier will be transferred over to your new degree...which means less electives you will have to do.
Overall I would say transfer between Bsc Information Systems and Bcom can be done with none or minimal loss of time...i think...unless there are no free electives in Bcom...hopefully someone else can shed some light on that.
The Bsc and Bcom don't really matter so don't get paranoid at the difference, it's what courses you do that matter.
Also I think Bsc IS is under science because it does COMP in year 1 and MATH which is not considered commerce....but overall it does a lot of INFS. The good thing is you can choose your electives from COMP, MATH and all commerce schools.
