Haven't seen a single recent IT Vet related thread in a while on these forums.

What did you think of the exam? Share your thoughts. Don't be afraid to post. The more responses the better.

Overall difficulty: easy
Personally I think the exam was poorly written, especially the risk level question involving the powerboard and plugs
Section 3 was ridiculous and a bad scenario, and unclear of what it exactly wanted with regards to the syllabus.
Section 4 question c)....basically write a quick reference guide on an acceptance use policy? Unclear once again and could have been written better with regards to the syllabus.
The virus question was pretty good.
CSSA Trial was written a lot better to be honest, with better questions relating to the syllabus.

Exam was easier than Trials. The only thing worrying me is the different opinions with some questions. For example one might state to choose the 'best' answer out of all 4, when 3 are right. markers and students have different opinions on what is the "best" answer.
Overall it was okay, maybe an 8.5/10.
We'll see the results.... 100% weighing OUCH!!

Yeah there were a couple of confusing MC, what did u put for them all?
Curious to see how many band 6s are awarded this year. Usually only ~30 /1300 get it according to last scaling reports

What did u think of section 3 and 4?

anyone know what the mark for band 6 is?, i found it pretty easy

poorly written exam.
1. a lot of the questions were unclear.
2. i found that this years exam was a lot different to past papers - not that it was any more difficult, it was just a different style
3. multiple choice was easy, pretty fair
4. section 2, a few questions were badly written and quite difficult i found
5. the section 3 extended response was poorly written in that it asked about the rollout of software and then pretty much asked again how to implement software in an efficient manner. poorly written once again.
6. i found section 4 easier than past years

overall a fair paper, but quite different to previous years

The mark for a band 6 is about 93-94 according to my teacher. A couple of questions were wildcards in my opinion, especially the multiple choice. I agree with the comment about relation to the syllabus and writing of the exam. The CSSA trial was definitely bettet

Found it a fairly easy exam, had no clue what a virus signature was, took a guess and got it right
