Hey,
I just got a question about integration on the y-axis. it is:
What is the area between the curve x = 1 - (y^2) and the y-axis.
i got two thirds but the book says 1 and a third.

Thanks in advnce

x = (1-y)(1+y)
x = -(y-1)(y+1)
.'. intercepts are 1 and -1

(integral with limits 1 and -1) (1-y²)dy
= [-(y³/3) + y ]
= (-1/3 + 1) - (1/3 - 1)
= 4/3
