Hi,

I am currently completing my HSC and would like to know how USYD works with transfers... I was thinking that if I don't get the ATAR I want I'll just start the Arts degree and transfer to Law after the first year. However, (excuse my ignorance), what happens if i am stuck in my Arts degree and never (due to results, etc.) receive an offer?

I have heard that at MQUNI after 3 years you can apply (with a very high success rate) to a LLB...Does USYD do a similar thing or are you just stuffed if you don't get in?

Thanks for your help...

If you never get an offer for a transfer (they recommend you have at an ATAR of 97+ and a Distinction average to get a transfer), then you can do their postgraduate degree (http://sydney.edu.au/courses/Juris-Doctor) after you've completed your Arts degree.

There is a JD program once you finish your undergrad degree, of course, again, it's highly competitive and depends on how well you did in your undergrad years.
