Probably not, but you fuckers screaming "1984" and "China" are going too far, we have no details on how it's going to work and you're acting like it's already happened.
I'd believe the non opt-out shit, and that's just beyond retarded.

EDIT: Whirlpool is a fucking cesspool, though

This censorship is part of the wider globalist crack down on net neutrality.

There's plans to destroy the internet and create a subscriber based network much like cable tv.

Rudd's a pawn of the NWO.

you mean a subscriber based network like theyd get providers of internet services to charge you monthly fees to be able to access the interweb.

That's besides the point.
1.) It's going to cost the government a HUGE amount of money to implement and maintain, during the biggest economic recession in living memory. Money that could be better spent on... pretty much ANYTHING
2.) Who's going to decide what's "inappropriate"? There's no objective rule for what's universally appropriate and what isn't.
3.) It's the same as the video game censorship controversy. It's not the government's job to babysit us, hold our hands and steer us away from the naughty pictures. That is, and always has been, the job of the parents to educate their kids and install their own filters in their homes which are more effective anyway.
4.) No opt-out option is ridiculous. If this goes through we'll have joined the ranks of China, North Korea and others. Is this a Democracy or a totalitarian state?

That they're even attempting this is not only naive and pointless, it's despicable, and I will not stand for it.

Local member can refer to federal government too, you idiotic communist retard. Take your gigantic muzzle back to Russia and re-emigrate to Australia when you learn our system of governance.

i know 2 people have already pointed out how dumb you are, but i would like to take it a step further

how can there possibly be a "member" in local government when councils do not run their own parliaments? (since member = MP)

The Local Government Directory is compiled by the Department of Local Government from information provided by councils and other local government organisations. The Directory contains information about Local Councils, County Councils, Regional Organisations of Councils and other organisations working within the Local Government sector. Information on councils includes contact details such as: street and postal addresses; telephone and facsimile numbers; and email and Internet addresses. Information on elected members of councils and senior staff is also available for each council. Other information about the local government areas is provided, such as area in square kilometres and population.

why don't you go back to Russia, as you much prefer their communist ways. do you really think the local member would do anything significant? rudd is well aware of the controversy surrounding the topic. it would be far more effective to call a hunger strike.

in that case... have fun having your hunger strike then?

I obviously meant my federal local member as this is a federal issue but seems like some people dont take a common sense approach and instead prefer to tear apart anyone who hasnt spit polished all their posts.
