So I'm planning to transfer to USYD next year because I've recently found interest in Political Economy. One thing holding me back is at Macquarie University we have an internship program where we just fill out a form and pay a fee then, Macquarie will prepare us with an unpaid internship. I find this system highly beneficial especially if you don't want to waste the holiday period doing nothing.

So my question is, does USYD also offer this or would you be required to apply on your own
and is there anyone that has done political economy and want to shed some light into me?

Sorry, there's no internship program like that within the Political Economy department at Usyd. That's the situation for most departments, really, unless it's a built-in component for degrees such as Media and Communications. I completed Political Economy units for three years, you'll have to apply on your own. Good luck looking for something if you do end up transferring.
