iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S II? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys..so ive heard that the iPhone 5 is coming out soon...
Just wondering..what would be the better option? Galaxy S II or the iPhone5??
Want something for basic use..i.e. internet browsing, texting, phone calls, pics, vid so i'd prefer a phone with better camera and nicer screen

Nokia N9. Seriously, Nokia makes the best cameras in phones, and its an all screen phone (no buttons) - so, not much besting it out there.

If I had to pick one of the two though, I would go iPhone. I don't think that iPhone 4S/5 is going to be THAT much different from previous models, so wait and see. If it is more of the same, save yourself the money and just buy the iPhone 4.

yeah. I heard that the price of the SII might drop when the iPhone 5 comes out.
But yeah, if 4 and 5 are similar, then might just go for the SII..i dont want to go to an older model phone if im going to get an iPhone..

IMO wait for Nexus Prime which is supposedly going to be released about the same time as iphone 5 and will ship with the latest Android version you won't see on other android phones for a few months. But yeh should top Galaxy S II and iPhone.

If you're at the front of the queue for Iphone 5 keep in mind those at the back are lining up for iphone 6. The iphones have a built-in obsoleteness which means you'll end up buying the next version after barely a year.

not really m8. the ip3gs is still a perfectly good phone which can support ios4 (same as ip4). only difference between it and the ip4 is the camera and resolution.
2+ years old and still being able to perform most of the functions of ip4 and compatible with all the apps sounds like a pretty good lifespan to me.

but if you are just the average user who wants a phone that just works, is simple to use, heaps of apps and no.1 customer support get the iphone.

e.g. my iphone broke a few days ago (button got jammed), i walk into an apple store in doncaster and they take one look at it and i walk out with a brand new phone no questions asked. whole encounter took less than 5 minutes.

i would probably wait for iphone 5 though cuz the iphone 4 is already over a year old and has already probably lived out half its life span.

also, they do last. i absolutely thrash my phone. the amount of times ive dropped it... but its been working perfectly fine minus the last month or two. but 33 months for a phone like this to work is pretty good.

galaxy s2 came out a year after iphone 4.
galaxy s vs iphone 4 would be a fair fight.

You're comparing apples (iOS) with oranges (android), they are both fruit (phones) but you cant really compare them. It comes down to personal preference

Just wait, the next gen of androids and iphone 5 will be coming out soon so make up your mind then. I think iPhone 5 conference is 4th October and Nexus Prime conference is 11th.
