Hey, i'm jess. i've been working on my IRP since almost October last year and today we got a new teacher and she says it's all wrong!

My IRP hypothesis is "the pathway to christianity has become highly more personalised rather than institutionalised".
- my teacher says christianity has nothing to do with cafs and that i won't be able to use it in my hsc exam. However i was never told i was to use it in the exam and as far as i was concerned, my old teacher was giving me top marks.

:argue: So today resulted in a bit of an argument. because she wasn't listening to wat i was saying and so i cried.lol. she says my irp is bad. - but she says i'm not allowed to change it - and she wouldnt tell me why! :chainsaw: *frustrated*

my irp focuses on the youth amongst the christian community and how they are effected by the instititions and the way they are socialised.

I would really appreciate other opinions. if you agree that i'm on the wrong track, please tell me.

i really need help!:(

its not wrong.. the only thing that we are required to do in our irp is keep to an area of the syllabus.. which is the focus areas (individuals, families, communities, groups, resource management)

u dont have to talk about the irp in the hsc, only about research methodologies like how does bias influence results or something
i would be questioning ur teachers ability to teach, ask another cafs teacher for advice

ur topic seems fine, as long as u get primary and secondary (it seems that secondary would be hard to find for that.. good luck) resources and compare/analyse ull be fine

its too late to change it because it should be due soon.. we got ours in october and its due in 2 weeks

im in love with three jessicas.....

madly deeply in love....

jessica [ beil!!!, alba!!!!!! and ofcourse, the almighty JESSICA SIMPSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *love heart* ]

im not goign after jessica bee, just reminded me of beil... wata babge :| is there anything wrong with that girl? in terms of her looks? if someone dares to challenge me on that, they shall be ridiculed the rest of their msierbaly life......

HOLLY SHIT!!!

the pathway to christianity has become highly more personalised rather than institutionalised".

that is a GREAT topic... that is so mad... u have inspired me... like im not a chirstian or anything, im hindu, but i so feel the "same" way (assuming u feell that way).....

like my mum tells me at our rituals and major praying events that if something is down incorrectly, or if I say a prayer incorrectly (cause the words are killers, in hindi ofcourse, im not FULLY fluent, so yeh, im very likely going to say somethign wrong) then it will be VERY bad!

and i mean, i asked her, y would god punish you even if your heart is trully not trying to be disrespectful???

but she told me something great..... u are being disrespectful in not taking the effort or caring about what u are doing/saying - and thats all htat needs to be said....

*PLEASE DUNT GET OFFENDED!!!*

then she said... that hinduism is a religion, which she speculates (meaning believes to be - very subtly, not somethign she would kill over) is a "higher" religion. the responsibilities a hindu person has are much great than that of a christian person - AND THIS ISNT A STATEMENT!!! just something to think about.... like im definately nto saying its the highest or higher than chirstianity, but the sacrifices that an average (truthful) hindu person makes are much more significant than that of chirstinaty/catholism, for example, muslim people are even more strict, they have to pray a certain number of times a day??/ i forget how many, no disrespect intended...

but the reason i mentioned this is for a reason, the reason being that the person should have it on an indivual basis, but also respect the need for an isntitution to guide and help them and vice versa (i.e for us to support the religion)....

what i detest are missionary's who try to convert people from other religions - i mean if they have strong faith and are teling the truth, then it is a different story, but i dunt feel it is always that way? I could be wrong.... but the people that convert are even more foolish, i doubt they understand their own religion with the depth and understanding in which the missionary's describe their prospective religion...

some teachers are pretty stiff, if u know wat i mean, they dunt like to admit they are wrong, you should highlight sections of the sylllabus to them in an assertive way, dunt cry or make them your enemy, try and make them udnerstand wat ur going through, this teacher of yours seems to be very ruthless.. i mean wata bitch? she seems to be focused on the main theme of your essay, and doesnt really want to help you... go kick her ass!!! by out-knowledging her... the syllabus is ur best bet.. then if u happen to be right, visit the principal and descrbie hwo rude she was and didnt want to help you!!!

I'm am also doing my IRP on religion and it is totally relevant to community and family. Church is community, families go to church. It is a spiritual guide from maslows hirachy of needs and it provides hope and faith all leading to the top of maslow's pyrimid you need to have spritual guidence to rech self actualisation it will score u mega points in the hsc so don't stress and i'm sure your IRP will be a hit rather then a miss
