okay so i really dont know how i went in trials... only got adv eng back n toppd it 94% n geo got 84%
these r my results so far from the half yearlies. im really stressing is 90+ possible

religion 1 unit- 43/50 coming 1/105
adv english- 92/100 coming 3/25
ext 1 english- 37/50 coming 2/6
ext eng 2- NA coming 3/6
gen maths- 87/100 coming 11/63
ancient his- 95/100 coming 2/23
his ext - 36/50 coming 2/8
geography 94/100 coming 1/13

Are you kidding? It looks like all of ur subjects are to band 6 standard at the moment unless your at a bad skool ur deffinatly heading for 90+

Oh and if they are scaled marks then not all band 6 but that would still be 90+ i would think. Just put them into SAM

pick up History Ext, it has the potential to scale you down. try to aim for at least 40-42 in internals.
Still, 90+ is attainable with those marks and ranks.

Yea because you do not know whats the ranking of her school. Her school might be ranked 600+ with only 3 Band sixes in the whole year.

Chances are that this is not the case but when you say all her marks are in band 6 range, you are assuming that her school is ranked in at least top 70 or so. You don't know that. At least let the person tell you the rank of her school before jumping to conclusions please.

Yes i said depending on her school if you read the post. And if she got 94% in her english trial and topped it, seeing that all the english trials are pretty much the same id say that 94% would be a band 6 mark wouldnt you agree?

I also said if those marks are scaled then they would not all be band 6, and yes considering they were half yearly marks they are not very reliable for determining HSC exam marks, but the results she has received from her trials so far seem pretty consistent and unless she has gone badly in her remaning trial exams i would say that she woud be heading for a uai of 90+. That is assuming her school isnt completely useless.

Get a good idea BEFORE you estimate.

Even if her schools rank was 600+ I would say its looking like atleast mid - high 80's with those kinds of ranks...except for maybe general maths...needs to be pulled up.

lol maybe not. Lowest ranking schools only have 1 or 2 or even no band sixes out of the whole cohort. With the dux getting maybe 80s.


That shouldnt be the case but that wasn't the point I was making. We shouldn't assume before we hear it from the thread starter. For all we know, she may be in Top 10 schools, then she would be looking at 99 UAI easily.

I found 2 mackillop colleges... they are 100-200+. Pretty decent.


90+ definitely attainable.
