Is a school politically organised?

I need it for an upcoming assessment and any help would be appreciated.

Also, please note that I use the world politically very broadly.

it doesnt have to be democratic..just is it politically organised?

Would it also be fair to say that the principal is the supreme authority?

Depends on the school.
DET/CEO is the supreme authority, the Principal acts on their behalf and dictates what is to occur within the school.
Authority is delegated to the executive (co-ordinators and KLA heads).
Some authority is delegated to the students (e.g. Prefects, SRC council)

Definitely a form of political organisation yes.

Basically there are different levels of authority and power, different people have different motives with regards to power (teachers use it to do their jobs, students want it for social purposes or to circumvent the authority of educators) thus the fact that the school is split into these stratas of power and authority makes it organised in a political sense.
