Yeah that's BoS. We all know that it is not an accurate representation of the mark distribution across the whole state...much less is the general opinion on here indicative of the attitudes that the people across the state have. I've come across people who are thrilled with an ATAR in the 60's and people that wept over 95...so in terms of the who state, what constitutes a 'good' ATAR is really subjective.
BoS is definitely a poor representation of the student population. I remember a friend calling me on results day screaming that he got 51 (none of us, himself included thought he'd even get one).

What are your thoughts on having an ATAR of 80+?
pretty shit tbh, I have an asian mindest
There are MANY asians getting 70s/80s. You go to UWS, won't take you long to find out (with that mindset, have fun making friends there).
I had some people from my school who were ecstatic after receiving 80+ ATAR. They should be - it got them into their course.

As most people here said, it is completely based on the person. An ATAR less than 99 could be seen as 'shit' (generally dickheads). But in general, 90+ is solid, 80+ is good.

In regards to ATAR on your resume, it is generally recommended/expected that you have your ATAR, especially if you're an undergrad (career centre templates etc). I've noticed some people on bos removed their ATARs from their sig after getting into a course that had a higher cut-off (lol, its a HSC forum ffs).

It's good if you think it's good.

I was just happy to get into the course I wanted!

At a 600+ school, I had first hand experience of seeing some people that were happy to get into TAFE with a mystery mark.

I thought I would get less than 375/500 in aggregate. Then results came and I was happy.
