For context, I applied for unsw gateway engineering and for my prelim marks, I got an A in chemistry, a B in math advanced and a C in physics, but I came first in my cohort in 2 subjects, ancient history and SOR, would the fact that I came first in those not so relevant subjects help me get an unconditional offer or is it based on when someone performs really well in relevant subjects for the course they want to apply for.

Nah, im waiting for round 2 offers to come out.

they dont look at particular subjects but the school you go to + how many A's you get so sounds like ur on the right track

How many A’s do they expect? I got an A in chemistry and SOR, I came first for ancient history prelims but I got a B on the report on my students online account, also I don’t go to a gateway school but I live in a qualifying gateway address.

I think its fine as long as you get a couple of A's and have a solid personal statement you'll get unconditional, I had a few A's B's and a C and got it so don't stress
