If you do the work and at least try somewhat, no. Not hard at all.

Depends on the degree, but in general no. I'd say the first year courses are typically easier to pass but harder to do well in because there's a large number of people you're competing with, but at the same time the university probably doesn't want too many people failing the prerequisites before they get 'deep' into a course (i.e. 2nd/3rd year electives). This is just my opinion and not fact.

If you're doing Commerce by the way, I think a credit WAM is very achievable with some degree of effort. Don't spend your entire year socialising or at the pub and you'll be fine. Remember that when you're applying for jobs, they look at your transcript and marks to date- not marks in the future. I never really understood why people put so much effort into their final semesters lol.

If you have a modicum of intelligence and you try once in awhile, you will get a credit average.

Did you get tutored during Highschool? Reason why I'm asking is because people who got tutored tend to be less independent and at Uni, that's something you will need to learn to be.

I know many people who were tutored heavily and got ATAR 98/99+, but even fail to get even a credit average.
