Depends what private school.. if your talking about something like Kings.. i think they do about average.. but if your talking about sydney grammer they come in top 5 (correct me if im wrong).

and all you public people.. quit complaining like pussies and do the work and it'll all pay off

I go to a public school and you dont see me complaining..

wimps.. bitches .. etc
Kings are pretty average (on my terms) wheras schools like Scots College where students are paying a good $15000, no one got on the DA list there. God, Scots is such a shit school. Theyre shit at sport and theyre teachers rape em. To all those who go to Scots, youre so shit its unbeleivable.

Grammar (who came 7th last year I think) in my opinion is the best school in New South Wales. They have excellent location, excellent facilities, great sporting culture, a highly commendable music and debating program and leadership there is also excellent. Oh, and they have the best educational resources available. As a High boy, I hate the fuckers. But the truth must be told, they're the best. Of course, you gotta fork out the $20k or so - or be incredibly smart and gain a scholarship. It's well worth it if you've got the dough.

Your attempt at hilarity was incredibly shit. Go jump off a bridge, there needs to be more dead bodies in Sydney Harbour.

i've got an extra couple of reasons

yes, the teachers are generally better, and there are fewer people who don't want to be there, and better facilities

there are also higher expectations. i mean, at my school, it's kind of assumed that most people are going to uni. so everyone's aiming high

parents help. either we have highly educated parents who have the time to help us, or parents willing to pay for tutors if needed, or both

and finally, the elite schools are mainly selective. most of them have entrance exams. and if u take the best and brightest in year 7, it's not too surprising if they churn out the best and brightest at the end, regardless of whatelse they do. also, some schools will put a certain amount of pressure to change schools after year 10 on the bottom students
