Is my school just crap?? (1 Viewer)

Everyone at my school complains about it (probably generic throughout most schools but whatever). My ranks are as follows-

English - 26/33
Business Studies - 1/37
Engineering Studies - 1/15
Ext 1 Maths - 1/3
IPT - 1/23
2U Maths - 2/27
Physics - 1/10

I'm not complaining or anything (well, except for english), but my results just pale in comparison to the ones on here...from like everybody. I've seen someone with a 72% for english and they came like 17th...

I feel pretty insignificant compared to the people on here...

Is everyone here just super intelligent or am I only seeing those smart ones posting in the forums all the time.

There are 17 people in my year and there are a few very, very intelligent people- one girl is aiming for 99.3.

Theres like 900 in the school, 103 in my grade. I ranked first year 11.

My school now has declined in terms of academic performance. And by a huge margin. We're going to drop down over 100 places I predict.

my gf went to ur school last yr which was ranked 600 or so in 2007.

afaik the dux of ur school got around 99.4 or something

The school may be crap....

It all depends on how your cohort performs as a whole in the HSC, this then determines whether your school gets scaled up or down in terms of internal assessments.

If I went to a school that gave difficult internal assessments that all the intelligent kids got like 70% in etc but another school gave easy tests so even the dumb kids went well, it wouldn't be fair...
So then they assume the smart kids will get good marks in their HSC adn scale their school accordingly:blah:
