My school has been saying that attendance is highly recommended however, they never said anything about being allowed to stay home. The teachers keep assuming that students will attend which makes me uncertain. Idk. I would just like to hear what other schools are saying about whether we have to go.

The most important consideration for you right now should be your HSC exams, which start in less than a month. And so, there's some pros and cons of going to school during this time.

Pros

  • Get to gain final tips and content from teachers which haven't been formally taught yet
  • Get to meet friends for what may be the final time
Cons

  • Teachers may be teaching you content which you've already covered, and so it may be perceived as a 'waste' of time
  • Time could be better used studying effectively for your exams

Well said, that’s true.

i already made up my mind to go for max 2 days a week

im not gonna wake up early and travel 1 hr to school and 1hr back just to hug and kiss everyone when i can wake up later and study longer at home

like seriously each period is 50-65 mins meaning ur not gonna be able to effectively complete past papers or work

ur much better off not going

So you mean lockdown was actually the best thing for your study routine? I heard like 80% of students got super demotivated because of lockdown but if you don't mind, please provide your arguements/reasons :)

not the whole of lockdown lol
so i didnt study the first 2 months or smth lmao bcoz trials got cancelled so there wasnt really any point and then i realised it was only 1.5 months or smth till hsc so i started grinding. at the start it was hard but forest helped me out a lot (defo recommend forest - go check it out). i started with 4 hours a day of work and now i try do 8ish everyday so yeah i am productive when i need to be + theres no point going to school rn. even if teachers give feedback, we dont have enough time to change a lot of stuff so better off staying home except 1 or 2 days when i do go
i was defo kinda demotivated at the start as well coz i couldnt meet any of my friends but now its ok. ik i need to do well so i am not bothered about meeting anyone - i do go out once in a while just to mess around which is important coz i dont wanna get depressed sitting at home the whole dayy lol
