I was wanting an ATAR of 95+ and tbh i feel i fucked up my first physics exam and idek if its even worth doing all this study too just get a simple number that is worth nothing in a few years.

People who got high ATARS, was it really worth it?

Maybe I could just go for an 85-90+, idk though at this point. You honestly can make more money in starting up a trade business then going to UNi for 5 years and then making shit money straight out.

I have not got my atar so I don't know whether my opinion would matter here or not.

Having a high atar is only worth it if the course you want to get into requires it.

What degree/course do you want to get into

That's a wild generalisation. The grass isn't greener on the other side

i haven't gotten my atar yet but just work hard to get the highest atar you can. throughout year 11-12 i was unsure of what to do as well but i just thought to try my hardest and i get what i get. it's also worth beginning to research extra points to get on top of your atar e.g. unsw hsc plus if u get band 5-6 in certain subjects. worst case scenario get into a course with a low atar and do an internal transfer. the atar is useless after like 1 year

from exp it was worth it since I was able to meet the cutoff for my degree of interest
and the feeling of accomplishment was really nice, my family, friends, school were happy asw
the effects of a high atar pretty much end there

one bad exam/assignment in year 12 won't ruin your chances, a 95+ is still very achievable😊
