hi,
Im writing my isp but im having trouble knowing what style of writing i should be using. should it be like english where the info is presented as from the resources and then evaluated or should i present the info, in my own words, as the answer the the question? i am also confused about how much I should reference i.e. foot notes and such. some direction would be wonderful!

unless your school has specified, it should be done as a report. ie you answer your question (that is the point after all) in a way that is easy to follow from the markers POV. Best is the use of headings that follow your line of argument ie statement, POV, resource, evidence...
Best way is to use the SEXY method
State your argument
Explain your argument
give eXamples
whY did you make this point (link to your initial point)

Do this throughout your report (ie your headings) and make sure your report is not pure description (where??when??) but rather is higher order thinking (how?? why??)

Hope this makes sense

*gasp* I do have a life! I just spend it watching Deal or No Deal. No, it's because I have a cold and nothing better to do. If I were that nerdy, I'd be studying right now.

What's a point of view? I'm supposed to have one for my English major work too.

Iguana is cool. Luce put him on her car seat, and it made her sister cry.

POV = your opinion(?) Your take on the argument or where you stand on something.
Dont really know from an English POV (!!)
I was referring to just making the markers life a little easier by laying an ISP out so it is easy to follow thats all (sorry, just read what I wrote above..how pathetic am I? "POV ie make the markers life easier".... sheesh, what sort of explainer am I?

i wrote my ISP in a report format because it suited my writing style and also did what smegger_em suggested..

hehe i had headings and then still wrote using SEXY format..

it all depends on how you are writing, if it is an argument type of ISP then it should be essay, but if it is a simple facts presentation then it should be a report with headings etc

topic sentences and headingsa are essentially the same thing IMO as both identify your point and allow to to develop an individual argument. Headingsa llow you to construct a series of paragraphs to develop an argument as opposed to the method outlined by smeg of doing a topic sentence for each paragraph (which you should do anyway...leading sentence)
meh...too each their own I guess

We were told to it was the easiest apparently, if we wanted to do one of the others we could talk to one of the teachers and do it. but im pretty sure we all did bios

This is just according to our teachers. not all bio's would be easy, if you choose a person with alot of info on them it will be easier.
