Israel is just bombing everything that has even a little bit of value in Gaza, then claiming the place had bombs in it or was used for terrorist activity.

They're arabs. Chances are if you bomb any house in an arab territory, it has bombs in it

if anyone is expecting turkey to say anything on the issue is a deluded fuck. Israel and turkey have a defense pact. don't think turkey wants to get involved in an arab problem. they may say abit of yada yada but nothing more than that.

I never thought they would? I don't think any of the Arabs, or anyone else, will get involved. It's been over a week, if they wanted to do something they would have done it long ago.

Didn't Israel offer a pretty good deal back in 2001? A Palestinian state including the West Bank and Gaza I think it was. I'm not sure where Jerusalem was in the deal. Anyone remember anything about this deal and why they didn't take it :S?

Camp David Accord. I think it was actually in 2000 because it was Clinton who presided over it.
Arafat ended up refusing Sharon's offer because he thought he could milk more out of him, and because I think Jerusalem and the immediate surroundings were still to be controlled by the Israelis.
So then Israel got all shitty with him and his Fatah party and started propping up his opposition - Hamas.
I bet Fatah and Israel would both give anything now to get a repeated chance.
