it's completely okay to step back from work for a month, you're not a machine. This month which you feel as though you've slacked off is really just a break you really needed for working hard for nearly a whole year so far.

my best advice is to stop trivialising breaks and instead willingly accept them. Be glad that you've rested, and now that you want to get back into routine, just ease into it slowly; 1 hour of work tomorrow, 2 the next day until you slowly get back into the rhythm. Contrary to popular thought you really don't need to "grind" to do well.

Remember that HSC is still rather far away.

oh, and maybe take a break from BoS. This site breeds a lot of the cherry on tops which is not the most accurate reflection of the common student.

What do you mean by cherry on tops?

"Cherry on tops," also can be called "cream of the crop." A term referring for students who are doing very well for the whole year and not experiencing any difficulties. Also, known as the best students of the cohort.
Typically those going for B5/B6 for normal subjects or E3/E4 for extension subjects.
Also, you can say this as the active students on the forums. More often than not, some people are afraid to ask for help, there is a thing called fear of embarrassment.

In short, what the twin bananas B1andB2 said is that given your current situation instead of going on the Bos website you need someone who can motivate you in person during difficult times. This website can become like Facebook where you cannot stop browsing forums and hence procrastinate if you are not able to control yourself.

This graph shows that the popularity in October can be attributed to people coming in and asking about how are you preparing for the HSC. This statement can easily lead to stress due to Imposter Syndrome

i think it can also be attributed to people joining to gain access to the resources on bos (esp new hsc students who're scouring the internet for all the resources they can find)

ik a lot of people that just sign up for the resources on bos lol
